Thanks to supporters like you, and decades of campaigning by the RSPB and others, the closure of industrial sandeel fisheries has recently been announced, covering the English North Sea and all Scottish waters. At the time of writing, the EU is challenging this decision, but we will continue our work in support of the closure as it offers a much-needed lifeline to threatened seabirds, including Puffins busy feeding their hungry pufflings at this time of year, and Kittiwakes too. This progress on sandeel fishing shows what we can achieve with your help, but there’s so much more to do.
